To purchase foreign currency, you need to carry the following documents:
For amounts up to USD 3,000 (or equivalent):
For amounts above USD 3,000 (or equivalent):
For students going abroad for education, additional documents such as the university admission letter and fee receipt may be required.
For amounts up to USD 3,000 (or equivalent):
- Valid passport with a valid visa
- Confirmed air ticket or e-ticket
For amounts above USD 3,000 (or equivalent):
- All of the above, plus
- PAN card (as per FEMA regulations)
